Belated Easter

It amazes me how much Kelsie has learned in the past 17 months, how much she has changed from a baby to a toddler. Last night we went to an event in Fayetteville at the university where they had lots of animals for the kids to pet and Kelsie just loved it. I loved that it was free, and they had free food - maybe next year Kelsie will have outgrown her allergies and actually be able to eat some ;-) A girl can hope right? Anyway, she seemed to like the bunnies the best but that may have just been because it was the animal that made me the least nervous with her. The worst reaction from a rabbit is a lot better than a horse, pig, cow, duck, or goat - or at least I thought so.

I mentioned a little previously about our Easter trip but I know I didn't include pictures. We went to Girard for an Easter egg hunt during which Kelsie seriously amazed me with her egg snatching skills. My sister mentioned the hunt and I really thought it was kind of silly to bring her but it was something to do so we went. They had a special area for kids under 2 and as soon as the horn went off Kelsie was grabbing eggs left and right. I showed her what she was looking for and told her to put the egg in the bag and after that she went to town.

I believe this picture is when she was after some eggs in another kids basket. She's just always looking for the easy way ;-)

I think that it Josh clapping for her in the foreground, or someone who thought she needed a little admiration of her egg collecting skills.
I stopped her after 12 eggs or so because Josh was going to be eating the candy anyway so we could at least leave a few eggs for the children who actually got to enjoy their winnings.

Again, I am terrible and Kelsie wasn't exactly in the picture taking mood so we only got a few shots of her in her dress from Easter morning.

Giving her daddy a kiss (although it kind of looks like she decided to tell him a secret instead)

Wishing she was outside like always . . .

Oh, so it was Kelsie hogging all the eggs, huh? ;) Brock only got 2...he wasn't exactly a go-getter at the hunt. Kelsie needs to teach him a thing or two about competition! :)
